Bio: Gustavo Miguel Zapata born October 15, 1971 in Saladillo, Argentina. He had an extensive career in his country, where he played for Club Atlético River Plate and Club Atlético San Lorenzo de Almagro. Outside of Argentina he played in Yokohama Marinos, Gremio de Brasil, Universidad Católica (Chile), Santos Laguna and Club Tijuana de México.
Between 1991 and 1997 he was a prominent figure in the Argentine National Team, achieving first place in the 1991 and 1993 Copa América and the 1994 Artemio Franchi Cup. Collaborated in the classification of the team by playing the qualifying rounds for the 1994 United States Soccer World Cup and France 1998.
