BIO: Ernest Akouassaga is a Gabonese defender born in Léconi in 1985. A left-footed international for Gabon, he joined FC Nantes in July 2009 after spells in France and Georgia, signing a two-year contract with the club.

Akouassaga arrived at Nantes during the 2009/10 season, when the team was competing in Ligue 2 under coach Gernot Rohr. His move to the historic “Yellow and Green” club marked his return to French football after previous experience with Angers and a period in Georgia.
